Kosokin Wins Des Moines Summer Open
Twenty-three players competed in the Des Moines Summer Open that was held at the Ramada Des Moines Airport Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, July 23, 2016 to Sunday, July 24, 2016.
Valeriy Kosokin was awarded $220 for winning the tournament. Joseph Cheng-yue Wan received $184 for 2nd place. John Compton got $148 for 3rd place. Steve Jacobs obtained $110 for winning the Under 1600 section. Abhyudaya Shukla collected $74 for 2nd place Under 1600. Milind Jetty took a free chess book for best upsets.
