A crazy day of Chess. Another newcomer Kaiden Gomez sweeps the Evening Swiss (not pictured)

Afternoon Swiss Winners Miles Howard 1st place and Luke Garvey 2nd Place

Players from all over the Midwest converged upon Iowa City for LTBL XII. Mr Gomez traveled from Rockford Illinois and the Furniss siblings dropped in on a family vacation on their way to Madison WI coming from St. Louis.

Mr Gomez swept the evening swiss knocking out Robert Reynolds and Tom Hesse. Kaiden claims to have a Chess.com rating of 2100. He is anxious to see his new rating after todays tournament.
