Iowa State Chess Association

Kudos to Doug Campbell for hosting and directing the Tri-State Spring Chess Tournament. It was a very, very nice tournament. The Keokuk Christian Academy was a great place to hold the tournament. We had 25 participants in both sections. We had players from Rock Island, Peoria, Iowa City, Quincy, and Burlington. At Eric Vigil's suggestion, we were able to make the unrated tournament into a rated tournament by sponsoring USCF memberships to the nonmembers. Campbell's family provided water and hot dogs to the players. Thank you for all who played in the tournament. Special thanks to Eric Vigil, the Iowa Chess Association President, whose Tournament Directing advise is always appreciated.
