On July 16 &17, 2016, the Cedar Rapids Chess Club (CRCC) is honored to host the Annual CRCC Chess Workshop.

 

Presented by USCF Sr. Masters Alex Betaneli (2315) and Erik Santarius (2414), this two-day workshop is open to players rated USCF 1100 and above or age 13 and older. The workshop will begin Saturday at 10:00 am, concluding at 5:00 pm and run 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday. Workshop activities will focus on strategy and tactics through individual and group analysis.

 

The chess workshop will be held at the Hotel at Kirkwood located at 7725 Kirkwood Blvd SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Registration is $125 for the two-day training. An evening, 7 round, Game/10 d2 Quick Chess Tournament will be held Saturday at 7 pm, free to chess workshop participants. There are several ways to register.
